Ricarda von Foller

Ricarda von Foller's story
Hospitality has always been my first choice of career and so far I have not regretted it.
I studied tourism management in Innsbruck, Austria. I began my career at Accor immediately after and I’ve been with the company ever since. In 11 years I have worked in many departments and held various positions, – first as a Front Office Agent, later growing into the roles as Shift Leader, Front Office Manager, Reservations Manager, Rooms Division Manager and now finally Assistant to Manager. It is precisely this diversity and variety that inspires me and motivates me every day.
I think I am the perfect example of how diverse hospitality really is and how many opportunities a person can have if they are open to it. My personal aspiration would be to reach the position of General Manager one day.
I am very proud of my personal and professional development in general, but if I have to name a moment when I’ve been most proud is the refurbishment of all rooms in 2017/2018 and the music gig we hosted in June 2019. Those moments have stayed with me until this day.
I firmly believe that working in the hospitality industry can make us better people, because here tolerance and openness are a prerequisite and at the same time a deep conviction, without which we cannot be good hosts. I am therefore proud to be one of many great Heartists®! Hospitality is the perfect place for enthusiastic and flexible people who love challenges and variety and want to develop themselves further.
My advice to our Heartists®-to-be: Take up the challenge and come with an open mind and an open heart – then you will be rewarded with many great experiences.
