Haithem Abessi's story

Hospitality was not my first choice, but the opportunity to work in the service industry, to be in contact with people and engage with guests, had a strong appeal from the beginning. What initially attracted me has today become a true passion, which I express every day through my work as a valet — welcoming guests on arrival, taking care of their vehicles, and being one of the first points of contact that helps set a positive and reassuring tone for their stay. 

I joined hospitality out of a genuine love for service and teamwork. Through my experience, I was able to confirm and further develop my organisational skills, my sense of care, and my attention to detail, whether managing arrivals and departures, assisting guests when they need guidance or support, or coordinating closely with colleagues — always with the clear objective of delivering the best possible guest satisfaction. 

I particularly appreciate Accor’s strong human values, its high standards, and the emphasis placed on training and professional development. The group truly promotes teamwork, respect, and diversity, creating an environment where everyone can grow and feel valued, including in roles that require responsibility, trust, and constant interaction with guests. 

I wholeheartedly recommend hospitality for its energy, the richness of human contact, and the many opportunities it offers for personal and professional development.
